Three disciplines. One place.
Most clinics focus on eye health. Most opticians focus on glasses.
At Vidím Pěkně, ophthalmology, optometry and optics work together under one roof, giving you a complete understanding of both your vision and your eye health.
Ophthalmology — Our ophthalmologist evaluates the health of your eyes, including the retina, optic nerve and intraocular pressure.
Optometry — Precise measurement of your vision and prescription to ensure comfortable, accurate correction.
Optics — Personal guidance when choosing glasses that fit both your vision and your style.
You leave with a clear understanding of your eyesight, your eye health and any next steps that may be recommended.
Comprehensive Eye Examination in Prague
A thorough assessment of both your vision and the health of your eyes.
Eye examination
During a single appointment, we assess your visual acuity, measure intraocular pressure and examine the retina and structures at the back of the eye. The examination takes around 30 minutes and is carried out at a calm, unhurried pace.
Disease prevention
Many eye conditions develop gradually and remain symptom-free for years. Regular preventive examinations help detect changes early, often before they begin affecting your vision.
Driving licences
We provide eye examinations for driving licences of all categories, including professional drivers. Certificates and required documentation are issued during the same visit.
Personal consultation
We take time to explain your results clearly, answer your questions and discuss any recommendations. Every appointment includes a detailed medical report, which you receive immediately afterwards.
Who Should Have an Eye Examination?
Many eye conditions develop gradually and without obvious symptoms. Regular examinations can identify early changes before they begin affecting your daily life.

Practical Information
-
A full ophthalmology examination is 1 500 CZK - visual acuity, eye pressure, the front and back of the eye, and a written medical report. A standalone optometry measurement is 1 000 CZK, or free if you have your glasses made with us.
-
No. Book directly, online or by phone. There is no referral and no waiting list.
-
We reserve about 30 minutes for a full examination, so the visual acuity test, eye-pressure check, and look at the front and back of the eye are all done without rushing - followed by a clear discussion of what we found.
-
We focus on comprehensive diagnostics and prevention - the early detection of cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disease, and macular degeneration. We also carry out examinations for driving licences and treat common eye complaints.
-
Not as a rule. We dilate only when it is medically needed - usually for a closer look at the retina - and we will tell you beforehand if it is, since your vision stays blurred for a few hours afterwards.
-
Yes, unless your pupils were dilated. If dilation is needed we let you know in advance, so you can take public transport or arrange a lift for that day.
-
We see patients from age 13. For younger children, we will gladly point you to a paediatric ophthalmologist.
-
Your current glasses or contact lenses - all of them, if you use more than one pair - any prescription you already have, and some ID. Previous eye reports, OCT, or visual field results are useful too if you have them.
